The Landroid is weatherproof and has a rain sensor that signals it to return to the charging station to avoid mowing wet grass. The handy mobile app lets you operate Android from the palm of your hand and offers a suggested auto schedule that best suits the size and conditions of your lawn.

Landroid cuts the grass more often than other mowers because its razor-like blades are offset and cut a small amount of the top with each pass. Worx also cuts the grass more closely to the lawn’s edge. Android is aware when its battery is running low and knows to return to its charging base to relax and recharge.

With dimensions of 21.97 x 15.91 x 8.07 inches, the Worx WR140 Landroid is relatively compact and can only tackle lawns up to 25 square yards in size.

Worx includes a 7-inch cutting width and five easily adjustable heights ranging from one to 3 inches. Although Worx is one of the smallest angles compared to other robotic lawn mowers we have examined, the robotic lawn mower can handle inclines of up to 20 degrees, which is still reasonable.

The cut-to-edge design of the Worx WR140 robotic lawn mower aids in even more precise cutting. A 7-inch, 3-blade slicing disc is included in this design element, allowing for an even nearer cut to all those corners or perimeters. Worx typically takes 50 minutes to mow.

In tests, the Landroid M functioned superbly. I used the lawn calculator to let it generate a timetable based on the size of my grass, and Worx was followed without any problems, taking only about three hours to cover my lawn. My grass was kept neat and well-trimmed by the mower even though I had the cutting height set to the lowest position.

The Cut-To-Edge feature easily trimmed my lawn’s margins, and the blades performed a fantastic job shredding the grasses into fine mulch. The rain sensor performed its job, delaying the planned cycle after significant rain and resuming it three hours later. The motor was fairly quiet.

The dependable Worx WR140 robotic lawn mower is painted in the same black and orange as the company’s power tools. The control panel for the Worx WR140’s main base features a 2.5-inch LCD screen. You can view the current time, date, and amount of work completed on this screen. A nine-button controller is also present on it. As a safety precaution, the blade disk underneath this Worx immediately stops spinning when the robot is lifted off the ground.

The charging station has an exquisite appearance. The station is virtually undetectable, with space for the Landroid to sit on its punctured black grid as it charges and enough openings for grass to grow through it. Despite the Landroid’s complete water resistance, this charging station does not have a cover to protect it, unlike many others. It would automatically return to its charging station when it detects rain to avoid cutting wet grass.

While the controller seems simple to use, the smartphone app is simpler and more practical because you can change settings using your phone from anywhere. The mower’s image, name, and current battery level are displayed on the home screen when it first opens. The robotic lawn mower has Off Limits, RadioLink, Find My Landroid, and ACS buttons. Off Limits employs magnetic strips to designate no-mow zones without needing to install perimeter wire. RadioLink, a wireless communication device that might soon be available, will increase the range of the mower’s Wi-Fi.

Weatherproof

Weatherproof
4.6/5

If you have pets that you don’t let into the house or if they like spending time outside than inside, you need to consider everything for them. They need protection from heavy rain, garden sprinkles, wind, sun, and the summer heat.

As mentioned above, BestPet Dog House is made out of PP material. Aside from being tough, durable, and slippery, this material is also waterproof. The floor of the house is also elevated from the ground. This prevents water from getting inside when the water starts pooling up outside.

Another thing to consider for your dearest pets is that they need protection from heat and sun. With double air vents, and its heat-resistant material, BestPet Dog House is good for protection from the heat.

Even though this product is suitable for protecting your pet from rain and sun, we cannot say its weatherproof qualities are enough. First of all, BestPet has a big entrance with no door flap or other protection. When there is heavy rain or winds in the middle of Winter, your outdoor pets will have no protection against cold.

Secondly, there are not enough vents in its structure. It may protect your pet from the sun but cannot provide enough breeze to cool them off in summer. One big entrance is not enough for cooling off your pet; there must be another window to create the draft. BestPet Dog House is weatherproof to a certain point, but it is not great for harsh weather.

Value for Money

Value for Money
5/5

Compared to other dog houses in the market, BestPet is one of the most affordable and effective products that can be used indoors and outdoors.

Dog houses are usually made with wood, plastic, or cloth materials. The ones made of wood or cloth materials require more manual labor to bring together; therefore, they usually cost more than the plastic ones. And the plastic ones are generally made with cheap plastic materials and do not offer much.

Most houses for pets are usually shaped like a box, and they have no color, meaning they have no visual value. But BestPet Dog House is shaped like a little house; its walls are white, and its roof is dark blue, creating a little home vibe.

Also, the other materials cannot be used both indoors and outdoors. Cloth materials, for example, cannot be used outdoors, and most wooden ones would get moldy after being exposed to rain.

BestPet, on the other hand, is made of PP, a tough, durable, and long-lasting material that can be put on any surface or yard in this case. Considering that BestPet Dog House is easy to assemble, easy to clean, durable, and waterproof, the money you spend on it will be worth it.

Unique Features

GPS-Enabled

Worx currently has GPS, which most entrance robotic mowers do not. That does assist by trying to track where the mower is, even though it doesn’t help plan out your lawn for the most effective pattern. Here are some noteworthy points:

  • It uses cellular data to connect (1 year included)
  • It provides instant alerts and status updates
  • It alerts you if the mower departs the designated mowing area.
  • It enables remote lockdown in case the robotic lawn mower is stolen.

Additional Optional Add-Ons

The ACS Anti-Collision System (included in our prototype system) employs an ultrasonic signal to identify and steer clear of objects in front of the mower.

Space Garage: Although a bit of rain won’t ruin your mower, it will last the longest if you protect it whenever you can.

Electronic fencing This ingenious technology uses magnetic barriers to create boundaries around places you do not wish to mow, eliminating the need to lay boundary wire to create islands. Worx also is ideal for temporary barriers because it is simple to set up and take down.

Narrow Corridor Compliant

You could make your mower fit through a tiny place if you desire to. The mower follows the border wire at length you instruct it to since you define mowing zones depending on the separation from the charger. To get the mower to go there, set a zone on the opposite side of your small hallway.

Installation

Although putting in the WR140 for the first time is not difficult, installing the perimeter wire will take some time and physical labor, with much of the time spent on your hands and knees driving stakes into the ground. We spent a few hours wiring my 1,950 square foot lawn and securing and wiring the base station. Fortunately, Worx offers thorough setup instructions that simplify the procedure quite simple.

After installing the perimeter wire and turning on the base, we set the mower on the charging station to begin charging it. We installed the mobile app, made an account, and then scanned the QR code under the battery cover as directed by the app. We launched SmartLink, chose my home Wi-Fi SSID, then kept scrolling to set up Wi-Fi using the mower’s control panel. Within 30 seconds of entering our password, the mower was attached. We launched SmartLink, chose our home Wi-Fi SSID, then scrolled down to Setup Wi-Fi using the mower’s control panel. Within 30 seconds of entering my password, the mower was attached.

Once we were linked up, We used the app’s Find My Landroid button to download the module. A firmware update has been necessary for this, and it has been delivered to my email address. We put the update on a FAT32 USB key and used the app’s explicit instructions to turn off the robotic lawn mower, put the drive in the mower’s USB port, and wait for the firmware to update. After removing the module lid, we hooked the data connection to the module. We positioned the mower in its charging base, removed the lid, and inserted the unit into the recess.

Final Verdict

The Worx WR140 Landroid is an efficient robotic lawn mower if you’re searching for one that can handle all the labor-intensive tasks associated with keeping your little lawn looking well. Worx can be controlled using an app that handles narrow pathways like no other. Worx can also cut new gardens without hitting the edges. It’s not a bad option for one of the market’s least expensive robotic lawn mowers.

The Worx Landroid M 20V Cordless Robotic lawn mower (WR140), like every robotic lawn mower we’ve tested, is not cheap. Still, like its forerunner, it’s among the least expensive models available, and Worx does a fantastic job of cutting and trimming your lawn. This time, Worx features GPS and Wi-Fi radios and functions with a sleek smartphone app that enables remote control. The app allows you to start, pause, and modify cutting schedules, monitor the mower’s progress, send status notifications, and let you understand what it will do right now and if there are any problems.
