3. Engine Reliability:

Now the B7800 is a bigger tractor than the B7500. It also comes with a 4 cylinder engine vs. the 3 cylinder engine of the B7500. In this regard, the B7800 is supposed to be smoother.

However, that is not the case. The B7800 comes with a nasty jerking. It particularly starts from the 2600 RPMs. The engine starts to idle from this point.

The B7500 has a far smoother ride compared to this. This is a bit surprising. Yet many reports on this account have been made.

The reliability of the B7800 engine also declines considering how it faces a hard start sometimes. It is advised to use glow plugs to fix this problem. But sometimes even that does not work.

Kubota B7500 costs around $11,000 to $13,000. Whereas the Kubota B7800 costs from around $15,000 to $17,000.

The Kubota B7500 has normal maintenance requirements (find iton the manual). The most important thing would be taking care of the hydraulic fluid. When it shows zero, don’t use it.

Fill it with oil and then use it. Take care of the fuel filter. Maintain regular drainage of the fuel from below the tractor. You should check other fluids like the coolant and other components like engine, brakes etc.
